A former bright prospect of French football, Adil was loaned to Portsmouth FC in the second half of the season, where he featured in 12 matches and played a decisive role in keeping the club up. He then joined Aberdeen FC on loan for the following first half of the season, establishing himself over time with 30 appearances across all competitions and discovering the European scene for the first time. Building on these performances, he completed a permanent move to Schalke 04 in the 2. Bundesliga, where he currently plays as an important member of the squad. These consistent displays earned him his first call-up to the Algeria national team, which he represented with conviction and pride.
